Efforts Paid for with the Funds Raised

The chapter helps fund the Central Panthers Trap Team, Marion & Polk County 4-H Shooting Programs, and donates $5,000 annually to the Blue Mountain Elk Initiative.

The Capitol Chapters has provided the funding and labor for numerous aspen stands and meadows that allow wildlife to utilize the forage while keeping the cattle out in the Prairie City area. We have protected springs and creeks that enhance the ecosystem. We are now working to repair existing fences and removing fencing that is no longer needed.

In the Detroit area, Capitol Chapter volunteers have applied fertilizer and provided forage in areas that were overgrown with scotch broom and other invasive plants as well as trash clean up. The chapter has completed many habitat projects and trash clean ups with the funds raised and will continue to put material and boots on the ground to improve wildlife habitat.

Funds raised also allow us to provide equipment for law enforcement, wildlife studies and wildlife habitat enhancement.
